DATA & METHODOLOGY
Transparent by design.
DollarDisha combines provider market data with primary-source company information so researchers can understand where a number comes from.
Data sources and update cadence
| Data | Source | Typical update |
|---|---|---|
| Market quotes and volume | Configured market-data providers | Live/latest available |
| Company profile and sector | Market-data provider | Daily or when changed |
| Income, balance sheet and cash flow | Provider-normalised reported statements | After company filing |
| SEC filings | SEC EDGAR | Near real time |
| USD/INR reference rate | Configured FX provider | Latest available |
| Technical history | Market-data provider | Historical prices |
Coverage, timing and licensing can vary by symbol, exchange, provider plan and market hours. The status indicator and timestamp on each research view describe the response currently available to the application.
Data sources
- Market quotes, profiles and fundamentals are supplied through configured market-data providers.
- Company filings and filing links are sourced from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission where available.
- Provider coverage, exchange support, update frequency and licensing can vary by symbol and plan.
Calculations
Ratios are displayed only when the required reported inputs are available. DollarDisha does not invent missing values; a dash means the provider did not return a reliable value for that field.
- P/E = current share price ÷ diluted EPS (TTM), when EPS is positive and reported.
- Free cash flow = operating cash flow − capital expenditure.
- FCF yield = free cash flow ÷ market capitalisation.
- Growth compares the latest reported period with the matching prior period; CAGR uses the first and last reported values across the selected years.
- INR context = USD value × latest available USD/INR reference rate; it excludes taxes, fees and broker spreads.
Freshness labels
- Updated HH:MM means the application received a provider response at that time.
- Latest available means a quote was returned without a provider timestamp.
- Provider unavailable means no configured source returned a reliable value for that field.
- Not reported means the company or filing did not disclose the requested figure.
Fallback order
For market data, DollarDisha prefers configured FMP and Twelve Data feeds, then uses Nasdaq or public-market fallback coverage where available. SEC EDGAR remains the source for issuer filings. Fallback values are labelled in the research status view.
Timing and accuracy
Quotes may be delayed, cached or unavailable during provider outages, market closures or rate limits. Always check the timestamp and the original filing before making a decision.
